Of course, it is smaller than the area of the tent bottom or there are too many riprap stones at the bottom to clean up. This situation is relatively complex and should be flexibly applied according to the geographical situation at that time.
a. If the bottom is uneven and there is no thicker floor mat, it is easy to puncture the bad debt bottom. Generally, you can find dead grass or leaves to spread on the bottom and fill it.
b. If the encampment area is too small and cannot be cleaned, there is no way to do it. The only way to do it is to spread out the tent and sleep where you want. The key is not to suspend the bottom of the tent to avoid crushing the bottom cloth.
c. This situation is quite special. Once, I camped at the top of a mountain. I searched around and found a flat land. In the middle, a big stone protruded, and with a knife, it took root underneath. I couldn't help but sleep. Obviously, if you press the tent directly onto the stone, the hanging cloth can easily be torn apart.
The method used is to tighten the tent pole as much as possible when supporting the tent. You can even find a few stones to press the tent pole to make it bend more widely. As a result, the cloth at the bottom of the tent is not stretched loose and won't collapse very tightly when pressed against the stones below.
At that time, when I was sleeping with my companions, the stones were placed in the middle, and both slept sideways. Of course, if the curvature is too large for fear of breaking the tent pole, you can replace it with branches like above.
